Exploration Briefs - January 2016

Harmony Gold has announced an initial, JORC-compliant inferred mineral resource for its Kili Teke copper-gold deposit in Papua New Guinea. The resource totals 128 million metric tons (mt) grading 0.4 % copper, 0.3 g/mt gold, and 170 ppm molybdenum, with contained metal coming in at 506,000 mt of copper, 1.2 million oz of gold, and 22,000 mt of molybdenum.

Exploration Briefs - November 2015

Oban Mining has initiated a 55,000-m drill program on its 100% owned Windfall Lake gold project in the Urban-Barry townships, Quebec. As part of the overall program, Oban plans to drill approximately 15,000 m before the end of 2015, using two rigs to test the open depth extension of gold mineralization below the Main Zone—the most significant gold mineralization defined to date on property.

Exploration Briefs - October 2015

Thompson Creek Metals has signed an earn-in agreement with Amarc Resources covering Amarc’s IKE copper-molybdenum project in south-central British Columbia, Canada. Thompson Creek can earn an initial 30% interest in the project under a Stage 1 option by funding $15 million of expenditures on the property before December 31, 2019, of which $3 million is committed for 2015. For each $5 million of project expenditures funded, Thompson Creek will incrementally earn a 10% ownership interest.
