John Rhind
The Canadian Institute of Mining Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) named John Rhind as the incoming president-elect for 2026-2027. He will assume the role of CIM president in May 2026, following Candace MacGibbon (2025-2026) and Ian Pearce (2024-2025). Rhind, PGeol, is a corporate director with more than 35 years of business and executive leadership experience in the oil and gas industry, primarily focused on oil sands operations.
